PhD Krzysztof Klimaszewski

Dr Krzysztof Klimaszewski is an assistant profesor at the Department of Animal Environment Biology, Institute of Animal Sciences, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland. At the same department he completed his Masters degree (population characteristics of sand lizard Lacerta agilis) and PhD (relationship between dung beetle (Anoplotrupes stercorosus) occurence and some forest stand and soil characteristics).
His scientific and didactic work is devoted to herpetology and nature conservation. He has more than 25 years of experience at the University and for one year he worked as a specialist in the Department of Nature Conservation in the Ministry of Environment of Poland. He was a coordinator of preparation of „National Management Plan for Great Crested Newt Triturus cristatus”
He participated in many international exchange programmes for both teaching and research. Under Erasmus+ programme he visited Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, India, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Indonesia, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, India with lectures and seminars for students. In 2018 he was conducting scientific internship at Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, working in the field in Western Ghats.
He’s mission in education is increasing the public awareness in the field of nature conservation, mainly by increasing the knowlegde about nature itself, its procesess, relationships and beauty.
